Homemade Chai Tea from "KODU Nice Chai" Loose Leaf Blend
Ingredients
-
2 tablespoons of loose leaf Chai tea blend
-
4 cups of water
-
1 cup of your choice of milk (whole, almond, soy, oat, etc.)
-
2 tablespoons of raw honey or sweetener of your choice (optional)
-
Cinnamon stick and star anise for garnish (optional)
Directions
Bring the water to a boil in a medium-sized saucepan.
Once the water is boiling, add the loose leaf Chai tea blend. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes. This allows all the beautiful spices to infuse their flavour into the water.
After simmering, add your choice of milk to the saucepan and return to a simmer. If you prefer your Chai tea a bit creamier, feel free to add more milk.
Once the mixture is heated to your liking, strain the Chai tea into a teapot or directly into mugs.
If desired, add honey or your chosen sweetener and stir until it's fully dissolved.
Garnish each serving with a cinnamon stick and star anise for a touch of elegance and extra flavour.
Enjoy this homemade Chai tea on a relaxing afternoon, or serve it as a warming drink for your guests. It's not just a tea; it's an experience of homely warmth and exotic adventure in every cup.
